Notes > The song began as an experiment to write early 1960s style African rumba. > Rob: “This is my second dreamscape childhood song after Build A Church With Debris. Lyrically, it is about exploration before the Florida brush turned into suburban sprawl.” > Outside of the girl group chorus, the majority of the sound on the song is a tenor Stratocaster with the Mooer Slow Engine swell pedal. The swell pedal made the guitar do magical things. > The girl group moment is almost like an interruption in your day, riding in the backseat of your parent’s car to go to the grocery store. Turning on the radio was like opening portals to other worlds. >
